Marcela Gómez-Bogomolni, LMSW, MSW

Born in Colombia, Marcela immigrated to the United States as a young journalist at the age of 19. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in Social Work and received her master’s degree in clinical social work from Florida International University. Marcela is in her 3rd year of the School of Energy Healing with Barbara Brennan, former president of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) in Dade and Monroe County. Marcela is the owner of ACSSL (American Consulting and Social Service League), the first consulting company to help immigrants recertify their foreign degrees in the US.

She worked as a journalist covering politics, immigration, and community topics in Miami-Dade for over 10 years. As a journalist, Marcela was very clear and passionate about sharing the truth and helping the community be informed on facts rather than deception by holding decision-makers and public servants accountable. As an activist and community leader, Marcela advocates for social justice. For the past 23 years, she has promoted self-sufficiency and education for the entire community, particularly for immigrant and refugee communities.

She has been an activist and in 2020 ran for School Board Chair inside Miami Dade County to improve the different programs of public schools dedicated to decreasing the number of self-harm incidents. She has received several awards and was recently nominated as one of the most influential 50 Hispanic Women in the US. Marcela has studied Kabbalah and mysticism for the last 27 years with several teachers and masters, which is how she became interested and drawn to Judaism.

Marcela is also a modern holistic and mystical Rebbetzin (rabbi's wife), a spiritual leader within the Jewish community who combines traditional religious teachings with a broader understanding of holistic well-being and mystical practices. She takes on a multifaceted role, serving as a mentor, teacher, and guide for individuals seeking spiritual growth and personal transformation.

In her role as a Rebbetzin, she embraces a holistic approach, recognizing the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit. She encourages individuals to cultivate a deep connection with themselves, others, and the divine, emphasizing the importance of balance, self-care, and overall well-being. She may offer guidance on meditation, mindfulness practices, and other techniques aimed at nurturing the spiritual, emotional, and physical aspects of a person’s life.
